Another year goes by. Freaky.
It’s been an almost unbelievable year for me, here’s hoping 2008 is a great year for everyone.
BTW, the t-shirt is a Christmas present, probably my favourite one. And this video was shot around the St Kilda Road tram junction. You can see about one quarter of the street art that surrounds this area. There’s some good graffiti artists around Melbourne and this is just a small sample of their work.

Graffiti along Lilydale, Epping & Werribee train-lines & different crate men along the Werribee/ Williamstown line. The last crate man on the vid (erected
under the West Gate bridge) only lasted a few days before it was taken down (probably by the golf course people). I’m so glad I caught him in the act!
Thanks to ellieck who let me know where I could find rodeo/ Indiana Jones crate man

The 7PM Project story on the Police tag database – aired 22.12.09.
This system is just getting some coverage now, but it’s been in use for years. Up to 4 years ago if you got caught with paint, the officer present would ask for your tag in their notebook, that would then be run in the system. What does this mean? Should graffiti artists try using multiple aliases? Or step out beyond a simple name and focus on a recognisable style that won’t be picked up by the police or their database?
In other news, Jill Singer is incredibly insightful and still has the open minded attitude that should’ve kept her on the ABC.

I was blown away by the stencil of the homeless guy by Fray, I think it’s absolutely stunning! Another surprise was the use of some Tom Waits lyrics (from the song Small Change)at the end. I Love Tom Waits!
